Planning Permission has recently been granted by Harborough District Council for a series of extensions and internal alterations to a Grade II listed building on the Quenby Hall estate in rural Leicestershire. A long series of discussions with the local Planning Authority and also Heritage England led to a successful result for our Clients who are looking forward to starting the construction phase of the project.
This sensitive extension to the Grade II lsited building retains all of the original character of the original property whilst bringing it up to-date with some of the essentials of modern life. The historic nature of the 18th Century principal elevation will be retained and repaired giving this historic rural domestic building a new lease of life as an extended family home.
Drawings of the existing house were prepared and proposals submitted to the planning department. 3D physical models of the proposals were created by The Drawing Room (Architects) Ltd to assist our Clients and planning officers visualise the appearance of the finished extended farm house.
